Midsummernight Art Project 2002

During the happening coined "Midsummernight" which took place on the 21th June 2002 between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.,27 artists individually designed a picture on the shopping streets of Düsseldorf town centre at a standard size of 50 x 60 cm.

In the evening,those pictures were presented at Burgplatz (the central place of the City),after which they were displayed in the Schadow-Arcades end there,eventually,were auctioned off (10 % of the proceeds were donated to the children´s home in Dorotheen Street

The whole event was organized by the Düsseldorf Marketing & Tourism plc.
