In the form of caricature,the (formerly) "Holy Family" enters a "Punch"-stage:

Joseph,as a blind old man,standing rigidly,depicted in an opulent Cardinal´s robe,next to the dwarfish and,likewise aged,Mary,sitting on her large golden chair;their son Jesus is being enthroned on his potty with the "INRI"-diction of the children´s chain "Toys´R Us".There is a bit of movement in this bizarre group down at the bottom by the Devil,here shown as the figure of a crocodile as a dumb pet.
The Holy Family has mutated to a daily-soap-family and stands for today´s loss of Faith and the need for banal entertainment.
